FAQs

What is idrinktea?

idrinktea is about High Mountain Tea, it is about one person's inward journey to mindfulness, as the unique flavours and fragrant scent of this amazing tea draws the senses to "be here now" and creates a tea-mind-body connection. High Mountain Tea is the perfect company for those seeking a relaxed, creative, and insightful mind, while enjoying a deep sense of emotional contentment and well-being.

What is High Mountain Tea?

High Mountain Tea refers to Oolong tea that is grown in the Alpine tea zones of Taiwan (mountains above 1,000 meters or 3,000 feet), an area recognized to produce some of the finest Oolong tea in the world. This lightly fermented tea brings together the health benefits of green tea and black tea, but without their negative aspects. Most importantly, as High Mountain Tea is grown in the volcanic, steep hills of the Alishan mountainside enveloped by layer of misty fog for many months of the year, it carries higher levels of L-theanine, an amino acid known for inducing relaxing alpha waves in our brain. Coupled with its sweet, uplifting floral taste and complex aroma, it delivers an enriching and calming experience each time you take a sip of this marvellous creation. Read more here »

The actual price charged to you will be subject to the exchange rate applied by your bank or financial institution. Do contact them should you have any questions about currency conversions.

I have entered the wrong address on my order, what do I do?

Just send me a note immediately with your order number and I will do the rest.

How is your tea different to those I buy at my local supermarket?

The local supermarket sells commodity (mass produced) tea that is affordable and it is a great place to start your tea experience. When you wish to take your appreciation to the next level, where drinking tea is not just to satisfy the body but also the soul, this is when the purity, taste, and terroir (soil, climate) of the tea become an important part of your tea journey. This is where you feel a unison of hearts with the artisan who handcrafted the tea for your enjoyment.

Who are you and what do you do?

I live in Melbourne, Australia and have been drinking tea since my early teenage years. I practise mindful living by day and explore Zen wisdom on nights and weekends. I often have friends drop by to study the Tao Te Ching and Lao Tzu's way of nature and contentment, and they take great interest in the unique tea I serve. They find that it not only calms and relaxes their mind, it helps them move deeper into the essence of the Way. It is one reason why I started this site.

Are you going to sell other types of tea?

Of course. I am always trying new tea and discovering new things about this amazing plant. However I am not able to offer the wide range as some other websites do. I like to keep this enjoyable with a personal touch, but most importantly I like to share with you tea that I drink everyday, tea that I have come to appreciate its character and truthfulness, tea that is of great quality yet affordable. I do wish to hear your feedback and your experience with them, so please drop me note or leave your comments.

I have a question that is not listed here?
